meet me
I'm Katie.
I was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. Grew up in South Florida with four brothers.
I'm usually based in New York but currently working in Atlanta, Georgia at The Alliance Theatre.
I believe in art as a catalyst for social change but also a reprieve from the quickly evolving world we live in. I’m drawn to stories that reflect onto people deep and nuanced truths but also the side of us that is chaotic, humorous and totally absurd. Characters that tend to be misunderstood or quiet, but have a fire inside of them to be seen, heard and make a change. Characters that are unshakably optimistic and hopeful. I'm endlessly fascinated by the people in this world and wish to understand how they tick, and how to bring more compassion to everyone around me.
When not performing, you can find me playing the piano attempting to compose, writing stories and scripts, taking photos and chaotically creating delicious meals in the kitchen.
